CapeSoft File Manager 3 Version Gold
Since 1995, and Clarion 1.0, Clarion developers have been depending on File Manager 2 to make their lives easier. One of the most popular accessories ever made for Clarion there is no product that will pay for itself quicker. Now File Manager 3 extends FM2's functionality to SQL backends. File Manager 3 will reduce your support burden, and give you back time to do what you do best!
AutoUp : Automatically upgrade files. No more Error 47
AutoBuild : Include Runtime File Management in your application

Converts from TPS to SQL file drivers, including copying the data to the new file
Case-sensitive and case-insensitive SQL backends
SQL specific data structures, such as date and time structures, null inserts etc.

Pause in a program
Maybe someone may help me...
in a Clarion 11 application, I address multiple requests on a server and I feel that the treatment of my program is too fast for the site in front. I have pages that do not load, but if I restart my queries they end so it is not the query that is faulty.
Ditto if I place a message ('we wait a few seconds') and presse OK, it works.
So I'd like to pause, instead of the message, and it automatically restarts.
I tried Timer (300) but procedure unknown, does not exist a pause (time).
Hi Archet try this
b# = Clock() + 1000
a# = Clock()
If a# > b#
and change value from 1000 to something to have proper delay
If you do it this way you are wasting cpu resources (it goes 100% until it breaks the loop).
You can add this windows api function inside your global map:
Sleep (long pTimeInMilliseconds),RAW, PASCAL
Then you write this before your request:
SLEEP(1000) !It waits for 1 second
loop T# = clock() to clock()+500
I never tried to use an API but I'll try it when I will have some time.
Maybe it works for you, but don't expect it work in any computer, because it just depends of the computer's speed with that kind of loop.
What you do is like:
LOOP 500 TIMES
dsarac's loop is better because it relies on time difference. If you won't use the api I suggest his approach.
