    So 'write once run everywhere' is not 100% true?


    I'll wait for the that day. For now, I'll stick to .Net framework... :) and (some netcore)

    It is true if you follow the rules. Its like fire cooks food, but you also can do whatever else you want with fire.

    I am writing all my apps logic in a .net Standard library and using .net framework to write the ui. that way when .net core 3 comes out i can move all my ui(wpf/winforms) to it, and since all my logic is already on .net std it would be an easy upgrade.
