    Well done!
I would like to add 3 best ways to share big files:

    1. Google Drive: With free tier (15Gb), you can share files/folders up to 10Gb in size by uploading them to Google Drive and give the private/public link to people that you want to share.

    2. WeTransfer: You can send file up to 2Gb for free and without registration. For $12 a month (around £9.50, AU$16) or $120 (around £95, AU$160) per year you can upgrade to WeTransfer Plus which allows up to 20GB of file transfers at a time, and 100GB of storage

    3. Send Anywhere is available for just about every platform you can think of, and can transfer files up to 10GB completely free. The file sharing service is available as a web app at https://send-anywhere.com, as a browser extension for Chrome, as a mobile app for Android and iOS, and as downloadable software for Windows and macOS. There are also versions for Linux and Amazon Kindle, plus plugins for WordPress and Outlook.
The browser widget lets you share files up to 4GB, but the desktop software supports files up to 1TB for paid subscribers. That should be more than enough for all but the largest 4K video files.

If you want to control the sharing completely, I think something like Resilio Sync (BitTorrent Sync) could be your solution.

If you ever get "tired" by these free services... (like me).. Google drive's paid plan is much cheaper than any of the paid plans offered by free services imho...

    100 GB for around $20 a year.

If you want to "encrypt and upload", in order to have protection to your data... then use cryptomator... Job done...

Encryption + Cloud storage (with the peace of mind offered by Google (if at all there is any =D )) at $20... Show me who is giving that at such a low yearly price? ;)

Most of these 14TB drives comes with 9 x 1.56TB or 8 x 1.75TB platters, helium filled (to lower power consumption)
    with two-dimensional magnetic recording (TDMR).

Not sure of the failure rates of 8/9 platters and heat dissipation of such drives ?
Nevertheless, that's a lot of eggs in a basket.

I often use mediafire.com for sharing. I'm not sure about its policy up to now because i have used it for > 10 years. I have 50GB free and my files are kept forever - so goooood.
Beside, i use Ondrive but only for storage and sync my works between machines.
