    VBReFormer Decompiler for VB5 & VB6

An all-in-one set of recovery tools for Visual Basic 5 & 6: disassembler, decompiler and compiled UI editor at the same time.

VBReFormer is a powerful and essential recovery tool for Visual Basic 5 & 6 application.

Decompiler, disassembler and design editor at the same time, VBReFormer is an essential tool for professionals and companies who work with older versions of their Visual Basic 5/6 applications.

VBReFormer will help you to rewrite your application by recovering all necessary information, design code and partial native Visual Basic code of your application.

    Code recovery
Visual Basic application can be compiled in Native or P-Code mode. When an application is compiled with native mode, the application compiled to a language natively comprehensible by the processor, while P-Code is an intermediate language. Visual Basic decompiler are generally based on P-Code instead of native because of the easy way to understand and decompile it.

Native code applications represents more than 80% of Visual Basic application, and it's probably the case for your Visual Basic application.

VBReFormer disassemble all functions and methods in forms, controls, classes, and modules of Visual Basic application and try to recover the most complete Visual Basic source code than possible (if compiled with the native code option).

    Disassembler
VBReFormer Free Edition disassemble all functions and methods in forms, controls, classes, and modules of Visual Basic application (if compiled with the native code option).

    Decompiler
Thanks to its advanced native code decompiler engine, VBReFormer is able to decompile all runtime functions and method of Visual Basic 5 & 6 successfully with all parameters (details on MSVBVM60 vs VBReFormer), and 80% of objects interactions.

VBReFormer doesn't recover all the executable code, but it is a great help to save time and money, by helping you to understand and rewrite your application.

Note: VBReFormer is not able to disassemble P-Code applications (See article Native Code VS PCode)

    Compiled UI editor
VBReFormer recovers UI meta information and resources of Visual Basic 5 & 6 application (forms, usercontrols, designers, pictures, etc.) and extracts these information into a Visual Basic project.

Even better, the integrated design editor of VBReFormer succeeds where others resources editors fail with Visual Basic applications with its ability to edit UI design of Visual Basic applications in a simple and easy way with no limitation of size, and with no need to recompile the application, working directly on its binary.

    • VBReFormer is the only tool which allows to edit your Visual Basic 5 & 6 application User Interface with no limitation of size.

Generally, Visual Basic design editor for Visual Basic 5 & 6 application are limited in size to the original property's size in order to keep safe the original structure of the executable.

It's not the case with VBReFormer Professional. Thanks to its powerfull design binary builder, VBReFormer allows you to change, extract, and import design information (text, pictures, etc.). You can even activate hidden properties of objects in order to change them from their default values.

Unfortunately this doesn't seem to be working fully for me, it shows empty decompiled code :(

Maybe the application was compiled using the P-Mode feature. P-Mode is not supported to be decompiled.

I think you're wrong. Since p-code consists of high-level commands, most code can be decompiled to source,
but the native code can only be disassembled
